No cases of the coronavirus had been confirmed in Columbus County by Thursday afternoon.
The Health Department said on Thursday that it had been notified of 84 tests conducted in the county, and 45 returned negative. Results were pending on the other tests.
Statewide, 12,910 tests had been conducted by Thursday morning, according to the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The state had 636 confirmed cases, and two deaths as a result of the virus.
