At least four towns will have competitive elections in November

The filing period for most of November’s municipal elections closed Friday, and 33 candidates filed for 26 seats. The most competitive race is Chadbourn town council, in which six candidates are vying for two seats. Other races with challengers are Fair Bluff town commissioner, Brunswick town commissioner and Bolton mayor.
