‘He didn’t have much longer’ — How a boater was rescued after five hours on Lake Waccamaw

Kayaker Jeff Chandler was tired, cold but safe when he walked up the Sigmon Wildlife boat ramp at Lake Waccamaw Friday night, after a harrowing five hours tied to his kayak.

”He didn’t have much longer,” Wildlife Enforcement Officer T.C. Stacey said.
