Businesses urged to register as “essential” in order to stay open if shutdown is ordered

If an emergency shutdown or shelter in place order is issued in North Carolina because of the coronavirus (and one has not been issued as yet) requiring all but “essential” businesses to cease operations, the N.C. Division of Emergency Management has a process in place for businesses to pre-apply
