Whiteville City Schools Board of Education approved 13 personnel changes during its meeting on July 12.
It accepted the resignations of Pamela Lewis, guidance counselor/Whiteville High School; and Mikayla Edwards, teacher/WHS.
The board also approved the transfers of Hilda Meares from teacher assistant/Central Middle School to teacher assistant/WHS; and Kaleb Hill from teacher assistant/WHS to teacher assistant/CMS.
It hired Martin Sasser, guidance counselor/WHS; Andrew Backhaus, teacher/CMS (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief); Jan Lennon, part-time bookkeeper/Whiteville Primary School; Morgan Norris, coordinator of instructional technology; and Meghan Meeks, teacher/Edgewood Elementary School (ESSER).
The board also approved new volunteers Savanna Elkins, WHS; Thomas Jarman Jr., volleyball/WHS; William Newell, WHS; and Joshua Pondo, assistant soccer/WHS.
