Columbus’ COVID-19 count rises to 294; next update expected Tuesday

Columbus County has five new cases of COVID-19, bringing the county’s total number of cases to 294, the health department announced Saturday. The sources of infection for the new cases were not announced.

The total of 294 cases includes 74 recoveries and 21 deaths.

The health department said it would resume daily updates on Tuesday.
