Columbus school board agrees to sell four vacant school campuses to county government

The Chadbourn Middle School campus will become property of Columbus County rather than Columbus County Schools.

The Columbus County Board of Education voted unanimously at about 9 p.m. Monday (tonight) to sell four empty schools to the county government.

For a total price of $225,000, the county will purchase Chadbourn Middle School, Guideway Elementary, Acme Delco Middle School and the Fair Bluff campus formerly used by Columbus
