Council okays rezoning and adoption of city park

In a brief meeting highlighted by the announcement that Police Chief Jeffrey D. Rosier will retire at the end of August (see story on front page), Whiteville City Council Tuesday night approved a request to rezone three acres of property at 315 Washington St. from residential to office and institutional.
