County government urges public to call or e-mail instead of coming to offices


Columbus County government issued the following press release Tuesday afternoon:

County Offices

County Offices are currently operating on a regular or possibly modified schedule. We urge citizens to conduct their business with the county by telephone or email if possible.  If you must come in person to county offices, please contact the office prior to arrival to be familiar with precautions that are in place to protect the public and county employees.  Departments may be taking different precautionary measures based on the amount of foot traffic in each office.  If you have a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, do not enter county buildings.  Please call the department you need to contact.  Telephone numbers for each county department can be found at http://columbusco.org.


Senior Centers

Senior Centers will now be closed to the public. Delivery and curbside pickup of meals will continue. Please call ahead for instructions about Ensure purchases at the following locations:
