Family reports home invasion

Two men with bandannas covering their faces robbed a Clarendon family Thursday at gun point.

Shortly before midnight, deputies were called to 993 Walter Todd Road in response to a break-in that was in progress, according to the sheriff’s office. Margaret White, William Jaimes, Dominique White, Phillip Smith and three juveniles were home at the time.

Two black males with black bandannas partially covering their faces entered the home and held the family at gun point, demanding cash. One of the victims gave the men access to a safe, the report said, and the bandits fled in an unknown direction with cash and a cellular phone.

No one was injured in the incident, which is under investigation.
