A father swore out warrants against his son after two alleged assaults.
Jail reports show Johnny Phillip Miller Jr., 29, was arrested and placed under a total bond of $9,000. He was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor larceny, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, simple assault and communicating threats.
According to sheriff’s reports, Miller Jr. is alleged to have assaulted his father, John Phillip Miller Sr., with a knife and a pool cue. Miller Sr. required 24 stitches after the incident.
The defendant is then alleged to have taken shotgun and rifle rounds from his father, and threatened to kill him if he contacted law enforcement. Miller allegedly fled the scene in a 2010 Chevrolet belonging to Linda Miller, using the vehicle without her permission.
On May 8, the defendant is alleged to have assaulted his father with a knife, cutting him on the left arm, and striking him in the head.
Miller Jr. was arrested shortly after midnight June 9.
