UPDATE Noon Wednesday.

The woman found dead in a grassy ditch near a Delco church Tuesday has been identified as Wanda Tiffany Reilly.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office said Reilly, 32, was discovered near Livingston Chapel around 4:20 p.m. She was found in the 4600 block of the road bearing the same name as the church.

After news of the discovery spread Tuesday night, deputies were contacted about a missing person from Leland. The victim was last known to be in the area of the church, according to Michele Tatum of the sheriff’s office.

“Investigators were able to utilize provided information from family, along with identifiers, to positively identify the deceased as Wanda Tiffany Reilly,” Tatum said.

A cause of death has not been determined, Tatum said. An autopsy is scheduled for today at the N.C. Medical Examiner’s Office in Chapel Hill.
