Doris Faye Barnes Griffin, 80, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020 at the Genesis Mount Olive Center in Mount Olive.

Doris was born Aug. 20, 1939 in Robeson County to the late Harvey Daniel Barnes and Alberta Cox Barnes. She was the widow of the late Mitchell B. Griffin Sr. and was also preceded in death by her son, Mitchell B. Griffin Jr.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

To cherish her memory, Doris leaves behind one daughter, Vicky Beth Griffin Wells and husband, Brad, of Mount Olive; one son, Andy Barnes Griffin of Evergreen; seven grandchildren, Karlie Wells, Victoria Pacheco, Jessica Griffin, Brandy Griffin, Candace Griffin, Donnie Griffin, Timothy Griffin; and 15 great-grandchildren.
