Duke Energy presents $50K donation to sheriff’s office; Commissioners table vote on flood maps

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office will be better prepared for the next major storm thanks to a $50,000 grant from Duke Progress Energy. Duke’s John Elliott presented Sheriff Jody Greene with the check during the Columbus County Board of Commissioners meeting Monday night.
