Columbus Regional Healthcare System recently awarded four $1,000 scholarships to HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) students who would like a future in the health care industry. Each student completed a second level Health Occupation Class at their high schools.
This year’s recipients were Nicole McClary, West Columbus High School, Morgan Elizabeth Nye, South Columbus High School, Ahjanae Baldwin, East Columbus High School, and Avionna Powell, Whiteville High School.
They were honored at a luncheon at CRHS.
“We are extremely excited to be able to offer these scholarships” commented Terrie Priest, VP of Business Development and Community Relations. “We feel that it’s important for us to promote health careers and support education in the community we serve.”
Columbus Regional Healthcare System has offered these scholarships since 1997. The scholarships are funded by the CRHS Foundation, the CRHS Auxiliary and Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
