Four Whiteville High School students, representing the school’s Future Farmers of America, placed second in the state at the Milk Quality and Products Career Development Event. The CDE was held in Raleigh at the North Carolina FFA State convention in June. Competing students had to identify cheese samples, off flavorings in milk and the fat content in a variety of dairy products. Students also had complete a 25-question knowledge test and a group math practicum. Team members included Miriam Davenport, Jermonte Fleming, Haley Fowler and Antoine Gamble.
