Updated: Elections board on standby pending hearing in Wake County Wednesday on sheriff’s race

Members of the Columbus County Board of Elections were asked Monday afternoon to be on standby Thursday morning to certify the results of November’s sheriff’s election in case a hearing Wednesday does not result in an order to stay the certification. A meeting of the county elections board
