Elvington Drug Store hit by opiate thieves in Cerro Gordo

A pharmacy that moved from Fair Bluff after being nearly destroyed by Hurricane Matthew was hit by thieves Sunday.

The break-in at Elvington Drug was reported at 1:58 p.m., according to sheriff’s office reports. The suspects took a quantity of hydrocodone, Percocet, and oxycodone, as well as $20 in cash.

The store is located at 7490 Andrew Jackson Hwy., Cerro Cordo. Sgt. J. Dicicco investigated the theft.
