Event Details

The 2nd Annual N.C. Honey Festival is Saturday, September 8 in downtown Whiteville. On the night before the festival, Friday, Sept. 7, a charity pancake supper will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Central Missionary Baptist Church at 413 W. Virgil St., Whiteville.

The mission of the North Carolina Honey Festival is to highlight the significance of bees in our environment, celebrate honey and honey products, encourage bee-friendly practices and promote beekeeping in all of North Carolina’s regions.

The N.C. Honey Festival will feature bee exhibits, vendors, honey farmers, food, honeybee products and demonstrations  over a three-block stretch of South Madison Street, from the science museum to Main Street.

A “Bee-a-blessing silent auction” will benefit Families First Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services.

Prospective vendors, partners and sponsors are invited to call festival founder and coordinator, A.C. Cutler at (910) 445-1065, as is anyone who wants to suggest an idea for making this year’s festival fun and successful.
