Event Details

WWI Centennial and Veterans Day events Parade entries are being sought for the Veterans Day/ Armistice Day centennial parade Nov. 11. The parade will start at 2 p.m., and end at South Madison and Main Street, where a wreath laying will be held at the Depot. Candy may be thrown by entries. All entries must be decorated with a patriotic theme.

Entries will be announced downtown at the corner of Madison and Main streets. Weather permitting, the parade will be video-recorded for later airing on SCC Edu-Cable. For more information, contact Anita Adams at 910.641.1385.

Entry forms may be picked up or dropped off at the Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, Walter Palmer Law Firm, faxed to 742.5087, or mailed to Veterans Memorial Park, P.O. Box 2046, Whiteville, N.C. 28472. All proceeds go to expenses for the event and to the Memorial Park.
