Event Details

 The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences at Whiteville and the Columbus County Arts Council have partnered to bring you “Movies on Madison: Summer Film Series.” The third film for the season is “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” and will be shown on Friday, July 19 at dusk.

Hiccup and Astrid now rule the Isle of Berk and together have created a bustling dragon utopia. When dark forces threaten the existence of their peaceful home and the newly discovered White Fury, Hiccup and his dragon Toothless lead the citizens of Berk on a quest for a mysterious hidden world. In the third chapter of the beloved animated series, human and dragon will fight together to protect what they love.

Bring a blanket or chair. Museum lawn opens at 7:00 p.m., movie starts at dusk. To extend the learning experience, please visit our education table for engaging activities prior to the start of the film. This free, 104-minute film is rated PG. This is a family-friendly event: no pets, coolers, alcohol or smoking permitted. Refreshments will be available for purchase to support museum programming.
