Event Details

Museum StoryWalk: Ron’s Big Mission. Feb. 16-March 12. The event is free. For a limited time, come see our new StoryWalk®, Ron’s Big Mission! written by Corinne Naden and Rose Blue, and illustrated by Don Tate. Ron’s Big Mission is the story of how one of America’s first Black astronauts challenged the system of segregation in his local library as a child. You will be racing from one page to the next along the tree trail to follow Ron’s story and find out if he gets to check out his books. Start next to the Whispering Giant statue by the sidewalk to follow each page to the next step along your journey through the museum grounds. #StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vt. and has developed with the help of Rachel Senechal, formerly of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
