Join Research Curator of Ornithology from the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh, John Gerwin and members of the Wake Audubon Society as they share their knowledge and love of birds.

During this nature walk at Lake Waccamaw State Park, participants will learn tips on bird identification, fun natural history facts, how to deploy bird nets and how to apply tags and tracking devices for avian research.

The group will meet at the Lake Waccamaw State Park visitor center at 7:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. (1866 State Park Dr, Lake Waccamaw, NC).

This exciting program is free and open to all ages.
