The Columbus County Partnership for Children is a nonprofit and is one of 75 agencies in the Smart Start network. Locally and statewide, Smart Start continues its tradition of offering services that focus on raising the quality of early care and education, supporting families, advancing child health and expanding literacy throughout the state. By investing in these areas, it is the goal that all children are prepared to enter kindergarten and that as they learn and grow; they are equipped to lead productive lives and contribute to a global society.
CCPC offers services that address needs of pre-Kindergarten aged children by supporting early education providers through wage supplements and quality enhancement programs; improving early literacy through Raising A Reader, Reach Out and Read and the Imagination Library projects; and by providing medical transportation for children ages birth to five and expectant mothers who do not have Medicaid reimbursable options.
