Whether you go spooky, fab or kooky, dress up in your most boo-tiful costume and join the fun for a howl’ing good time at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences at Whiteville Saturday, Oct. 26, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Enjoy spine-tingling experiments, creepy crafts, ghoulish games and more. Take a walk in quick sand, explore ghastly dry ice bubbles, smile silly at the fantastical photo corner, and if you dare, check out what’s behind the mystery door.
Get in the Halloween mood with the film “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” based on the bestselling children’s novel by J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter, an orphaned 11-year old boy, discovers that he is the son of two powerful wizards and possesses magical powers of his own. Upon acceptance to the prestigious Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry meets several friends who help him uncover the dark forces behind his parents’ mysterious deaths. Showtimes will be 10:00 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. This This 159-minute film is rated PG.
