“Wings of Life” featured at Museum’s Science Cinema May 26
(WHITEVILLE, N.C.) — The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences at Whiteville presents “Science Cinema,” Saturday, May 26, featuring Disneynature’s “Wings of Life.” This film takes a beautiful and unprecedented look at butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, bats and flowers and is a celebration of life, as a third of the world’s food supply depends on these amazing and increasingly threatened creatures. Incredible cinematography, high-speed, time lapse and microfilming making showcases in spectacular detail the unsung heroes of our planet.
This 77-minute film will be shown at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. The film is rated G. Admission is free. Science Cinema programming is funded by a grant from the International Paper Foundation.
To extend the learning experience of “Wings of Life” please visit our education table after the film. Science Cinema films are designed to educate and enlighten as much as entertain. A 26-page educator resource guide, designed for grades 2 through 4, extends the learning experience with lesson plans and activities tied to the film and can be downloaded for free at http://nature.disney.com/wings-of-life
