Evergreen bridge to be named for Bill Johnson

A provision in the 2022 North Carolina state budget honors one of Columbus County’s late community leaders, Bill “Little Bill” Johnson, as the bridge of N.C. 242 over U.S. 74 near Evergreen will be named after him.
