Fruit processor to construct near Whiteville, create 50 jobs

A fruit processing facility that will hire 50 people is planning to start construction of a $10-12 million building outside Whiteville as early as six months from now. 

Carolina Berry Group made the announcement during the Columbus Jobs Foundation annual meeting Thursday night at the Lab Entrepreneurship Center in downtown Whiteville
