Tabor City Police are searching for Kenneth Tyree Mason after he slipped out a window of an apartment at Tabor Landing Apartments.

Major Greg Sibbett of the TCPD said Mason was being sought on felony cocaine and marijuana charges.

Police had raided the same apartment Friday to serve habitual felon warrants from Brunswick County on another man, Jarmaine Oneal Johnson. While they were there, Sibbett said, officers arrested Janice Rayeann Buchanan on unrelated drug charges. Mason ran from the apartment Friday before officers arrived.

A canine team from the Tabor City Prison assisted in the search Wednesday, but the hours-long search was hampered by a steady, drizzling rain.

Anyone with information about Mason’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Tabor City Police.
