Rosemary Dorsey (270 votes) handily defeated incumbent Jimmy Gray Rogers, Jr. (125 votes) Tuesday for the Lake Waccamaw East Ward seat on the board.

“I am humbled and honored to be elected Town Commissioner in the East Ward,” Dorsey said. “I look forward to getting started and to carrying the momentum of our campaign forward to advocate for the Town of Waccamaw.”
Roger’s said, “I enjoyed the opportunity to serve the lake. I wish all the new board members the best. Good luck and you’re in our prayers.”
Terry Littrell won the West Ward seat in a field of four. Commissioner Kevin Butler did not run for reelection.
Littrell took 177 votes for the win. Jimmy F. Grainger was Littrell’s closet competition, with 133. Adam Sellers had 41 votes, and Lee Parker 39.
