Lake Waccamaw turned down for state trail grant

Lake Waccamaw was rejected for a state grant that would have completed a long-planned trail improving the connection between the state park and the town.

Harry Foley of the Friends of Lake Waccamaw State Park said being turned down was disappointing, but the group hasn’t given up.
