Learning goes on: County schools promote summer reading, offer remediation


As they headed home after another school year, Columbus County Schools elementary students “were very excited to have their own books,” said CCS Literacy Coordinator Lisa Brown. The school system bought 10 books per student in grades PreK–8 from Scholastic Education Solutions, using $153,379 approved by the board of education in March
