Coke Gray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dial Gray and a junior at Whiteville Senior High School, won a blue ribbon at the State Fair in Raleigh with his taxidermy duck entry. Coke is shown with Wildlife Commission member D. Jack Hooks. As would indicate, both local citizens developed more than just a passing interest in Columbus County wildfowl.
