Robert Huggins, fish market owner Prizzie Frink and Joe Bryan of Bladenboro rest on a corner of Chadbourn’s Railroad Street dubbed the “Buzzard’s Roost.” According to the men, the name has been around since 1921, when men used to sit on the benches and wait for offers of work. When the photo was taken, the benches were a place to spend a warm February afternoon in the sun.
