A year’s free use of the 1985 Pontiac Sunbird Wagon given by Rick Edwards Pontiac of Whiteville was the top prize for the first person who could score a hole in one on Land-O-Lakes Golf Club’s No. 2 hole during the Sept. 27 Columbus County Industrial Golf Tournament sponsored by the Greater Whiteville Chamber of Commerce. Pictured with the car from left are Anne Jones, chamber executive vice president; John Gayle Barkley, tournament co-chair; Emory Worley, tournament prize committee chair; Horace Will of Rick Edwards Pontiac-Buick; and Lee Croom, tournament co-chair. It was the sixth consecutive year the chamber had sponsored the event.
