More than 60% of people vaccinated at mass event were from outside Columbus

Only 368 out of the 1,000 people vaccinated at the March 20 COVID-19 mass vaccination event at Southeastern Community College were Columbus County residents, Health Director Kim Smith told county commissioners Monday night. The 1,000 people included residents from all corners of the state and even people from as far away as Alaska.
