Cold, but not much snow at dusk Wednesday

Ice piles up around the Waccamaw River dam Wednesday afternoon. As of 6 p.m., the forecast for cold held up, but not for snow. Bitter nights, with temperatures dipping into the teens Thursday and Friday, are expected until a warming trend begins over the weekend.
