Fair Bluff woman charged for passing counterfeit bill

A fake $100 bill bought a Fair Bluff woman a real trip to jail Jan. 29.

Warrants show Summer Nicole Vause, 29, was arrested on a single charge of obtaining property by false pretenses and release don a secured bond. Her address was listed as 1202 Main St., Fair Bluff.

Vause is alleged to have used a $100 bill to make a purchase at the Shop and Save in Fair Bluff, then received real bills as change.

Lt. K.H. Grice of the Fair Bluff Police made the arrest.
