A Red Hill Road man was charged with desecrating an infant’s grave and dropping a tombstone at a Tabor City home Nov. 24.
Warrants show Christopher Dean McPherson, 32, of 7850 Red Hill Road, was arrested on the single charge by Tabor City Police. McPherson was charged with a single felony count of desecrating a grave, and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
Warrants show McPherson is accused of digging up the tombstone of an infant child, Colby Dean Dowless, and dropping the stone in the yard of a home in the 100 block of West Seventh Avenue in Tabor City. A witness identified McPherson and contacted police.
Tabor City Police reported that it is not known where the infant’s grave was located, or why McPherson dropped the stone at the Seventh Street home.
