Two arrested in May 3 shooting

The remaining two suspects have been arrested for their roles in a shootout that injured a woman and her son in their home May 3.

Capt. Greg Sibbett of the Tabor City Police said D’Angelo Deran Lewis, 30, and Maecas Chatell Mitchell, 40, are being held under a long list of charges, including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

Mitchell is being held in the Columbus County Jail under $175,000 bond. Lewis, who was captured in South Carolina by U.S. Marshalls, is being held on unrelated charges after being arrested in a Loris pawn shop.

Daniel Reshawn Bennett, 19, and Levon Junior Campbell, 21, were taken into custody May 11.
