Columbus County saw no more deaths related to the coronavirus between March 1 and March 8, according to data released by the Columbus County Health Department on Thursday.
Only 53 new positive cases were reported to the department since the previous week’s report.
The death count remained at 269, the same number reported for Feb. 28. The CCHD document said there were no known COVID-19 patients hospitalized at Columbus Regional Healthcare System or New Hanover Regional Medical Center as of Wednesday.
The report showed 25,595 people in Columbus County having at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, 23,846 having a full course and 10,075 having a full course plus a booster.
