Alan Terrence “Terry” Ward, 61, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017 at Columbus Regional Healthcare. He was the son of Thelma Hemingway Ward and the late Alfonzer R. Ward of Whiteville.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1 at the Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road with Rev. Charlrean Mapson officiating. Viewing will be held from noon-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at Peoples Funeral Home and Sunday, Oct. 1 one hour prior to and following the service at the headquarters.Burial, with military honors, will be in Campground Cemetery.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his daughter, Terri Marie Ward of Whiteville; three sisters, Evelyn Rorie, Alfredia Godwin and Ruth N. Ward, all of Whiteville; and three brothers, Roscoe Hemingway of Nakina, Alfonzer R. Ward Jr. and Tony V. Ward of Whiteville.
