Alice Elizabeth Ward Tedder, 75, died Saturday, July 14, 2018. She was the daughter of the late James Dayton Ward and Nona Puckett Ward. She was born in Nakina and attended Nakina High School. She was a member of The Intercontinental Church of God in Fayetteville. Mrs. Tedder loved her family and the people in her community.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 18 in the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Pastors Robert Nunnery and Walt Latham officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 18 prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Lake Waccamaw.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ray Earl Tedder of the home; two daughters, Bregetta Tedder Boney of Raleigh and Rhonda Tedder Terhune of Fuquay Varina; one son, Michael Ray Tedder of Hallsboro; two sisters, Janice White of Ash and Jane Bousque of Durham; one brother, Glenn Ward of Whiteville; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
