Alton ‘Doorknob’ Floyd

Alton “Doorknob” Floyd, 58, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at St. Mary’s Baptist Church. Viewing will be held Saturday, Jan. 28 one hour prior to the service and again after service at the church. Burial will be in the Evergreen Community Cemetery. D&A Funeral Service of Chadbourn is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife Christine Floyd; two daughters, Chantel Floyd of the home, Angernetta Floyd of Baltimore, Md.; two sons, Antwan Floyd and Alton Floyd Jr., both of Baltimore, Md; his mother, Iona Apple of Evergreen; four sisters, Diane McKenzie of Whiteville, Sudie Frink, Sadie Hicks and Deborah Floyd, all of Evergreen; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family at 588 Otis Donnell Nixon Road, Evergreen.
