Beth Worley Strickland, 76, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center in Whiteville.
Beth was born Jan. 17, 1941 in Robeson County to the late Jack and Elizabeth Nance Worley.
She was amember of Cerro Gordo Baptist Church, a prayer warrior and faithful servant of the Lord through music and food ministry.
Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 in the Piney Forest Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Deleon Williams and Jonathan Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 25 one hour prior to the service. Meares Funeral Home of Fair Bluff is serving the family.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Lloyd Gerald Strickland; three sons, Cloyd G. Strickland and wife, Cathy, of Chadbourn, Boyd Lee Strickland and wife, Sheila, of Cerro Gordo and Bryan Allen Strickland and wife, June, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; one daughter, Jennifer Beth White of Whiteville; 14 grandchildren, Kelton, Megan, Jason, Jonathan, Amber, Anna, Andrew, Seth, Jamison, Jackson, Deanna, Marcos, Saul-David and Maria; and 13 great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Katelyn, Stacey, Ayden, Ethan, Daphne, Clayton, Teddy, Lynley, Xavier, Wesley, Juariana, and Elijah.
