Brenda Marie Ward Reeves, 61, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016 at her residence. She was the daughter of Corbett Ward and the late Annie Mae Adams Ward and was preceded in death by her husband,  J.W. Reeves; and a sister, Wanda Ward Benson.
She worked with Premier Living as a L.P.N. for more than  20 years.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 in the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Don Squires officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 at the mortuary. Burial will be in Columbus Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be William Harrelson, Tony Hobbs, Noah Hobbs, Andrew Thomas, Chris Long and Joey Long.
Survivors include her father, Corbet Ward of Whiteville; one stepson, Kenny Reeves of Raleigh; one step-daughter, Debbie Trogden of Releigh; and two sisters, Juanita W. Goodwin and Mary W. McKeithan, both of Whiteville.
