Catherine Elizabeth Ward Barfield, 44, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Columbus Regional Healthcare. She was the daughter of the late Chester Ward and Peggy Ann Moser Ward.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18 at McKenzie Mortuary with Rev. Jerry Spivey officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-1:45 p.m. Saturday, June 18 prior to the service at the mortuary.
Survivors include one daughter, Catherine Leigh-April Barfield of Claremont; two sons, Justin Ryan Shands and William Luther Shands, both of Whiteville; two sisters, Janice Hope Ward Strickland and Jennifer Suzanne Ward Duncan, both of Whiteville; and companion, Royce Gore Jr. of Whiteville.
