Clifton N. Smith, Sr., 83, died Friday, June 10, 2016 at Columbus Regional Healthcare.
Final rites will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16 at the Brunswick Waccamaw Baptist Association Building, 600 Pinelog Road with Bishop Frederick Murray officiating. Viewing will be held from 1-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel and Thursday, June 16 one hour prior to the service at the association building. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery.
He is survived by nine sons, Terry Smith of Brunswick, Clifford George and Samuel D. Smith, both of Whiteville, Clifton N. Smith Jr. of Brooklyn, N.Y., Reva Ann Smith of Fayetteville, Jeffery Smith of Greenville, S.C., Michael K. Smith of Raeford, Dennis C. Smith of Newport News, Va.; and six sisters, Hannah Monroe, Larcene Brown, Lorene Hope and Evelyn Perkins, all of Whiteville, Alice Richardson of Newark, N.J. and Peggy Corrothers of Chadbourn.
