Dorothy Helen Horne Fowler, 91 passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Dot, as she was lovingly known, was born Aug. 10, 1930, in Columbus County, to the late William Henry Horne and Curley Walker Horne. She was the widow of James Earl Norris and Maurice Fowler. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Pauline Benson and Eula Mae Simmons; and a grandchild, Tammy Rabon Trimble.
Her funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 10, in the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Ripley and Dr. Ray Thigpen officiating. Interment will be in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Survivors include her children, Patricia Ann Florke of Matthews, Mary Sue Price of the home and Robin Kaye Norris Etheridge (Jerry) of Whiteville; two siblings, Thurman Horne (Barbara) of Sumter and Carolyn Fisher (Joe Dean) of Ocean Isle Beach; three grandchildren, Paula Small, Danny Price Jr. and Tori Wilson (Matt); and two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Price and Lakyn Wilson.
