E.W. Nance, 84 went to his heavenly home Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville.
He was the son of the late Bill Nance and Ruth Britt Nance and the husband of the late Nola Cribb Nance. He was also preceded in death by three siblings, Joanne Nance, William Tart Nance and Ruth Elene Nance.
Final rites will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 7, in the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Lashley and Carl Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Nance Family Cemetery in the Macedonia community.
He is survived by four children, Billy Joe Nance (Pauline) of Rock Springs, Wyo., Sherrie Brock of Rocky Point, Tony Nance (Lisa) of Evergreen and Melissa Murdock (Mark) of Angier; 17 grandchildren, Traci Weaver (Scott)and Matt Weaver, both of Bessemer City, Jennifer Pruiett (Brian) of Charlotte, Christopher Sealey (Carrie) of Spruce Pine, Adam Hackett of Gastonia, Sean Pruiett of Lancaster, S.C., McKayla Pruiett and Samantha Pruiett, both of Pineville, Amanda Hackett of DeRidder, La., Roger Dale Brock Jr. of Smithfield, Zachery Benson of Wilmington, Paul Nance, Kathy Bligh, Curtis Nance (Nicole) and Stacy Wells (Wayne), all of Rock Springs, Wyo., Kiersten Nance and Allie Nance, both of Evergreen; and seven great-grandchildren, Harlie Nance, Mia Wells, Kylie Wells, Jansen Brock, Kaleb Brock, Colton James Hall, and Andrew Brock.
